Weekly Snapshots


Mojang has scheduled Weekly Snapshots for users who want to test Minecraft's upcoming features, and here’s how to download and install it into Minecraft. Starting a new world is recommended.
  1. Download the latest weekly snapshot from the latest issue of The Weekly Minecraft.
  2. For Windows 7 users: Go to: C:/Users/[Your Username]/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/bin . For Mac OSX Users go here: /Users/[Your Username]/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin
  1. Backup the minecraft.jar file in there before replacing it with the one you just downloaded.
  2. Play Minecraft!
